This nation, however, has many small airports that serve the far northern regions of the country. Be prepared to be far-removed from the luxuries to which one is accustomed on commercial flights, however. In the past, most US travelers could enter the nation with a simple driver’s license. Today, a passport is required and one should verify with their travel agent what they need to have on hand. Because Canada is an extremely popular hunting destination, one must also check ahead regarding the transport of firearms or other weapons into the nation. Once one does arrive, however, expect the flight to one’s eventual destination to be an adventure worth remembering. Remote as Canada is, getting there is oftentimes half the fun.
